Welcome

This course from Pace control will provide you with a world class skill, best practice in the ability to assess a competitive work pace.

We will mark your assessments and mentor your pace perception to guide you to be within the acceptable error and deviation limits

When you have completed this course, you will never look at an activity in the same way ever again. You will have learned a new language of pace.

Instead of using the phrase 'going too fast' you will say that the activity is a 115 or a 120.Instead of saying its 'going too slow' you will say that the activity is an 80 or a 75. If you consider an activity is competitive, your assessment will be 100 or standard performance.

The title of this course is :

Visual Performance Management

The systematic visual assessment of performance in order to numerically quantify the pace of working

The World Class Performance Standards used in this calibration tool are:

  • International Labour Organisation (ILO) Geneva

  •  MTM Association Des Plaines, IL, USA
  •  The British Standards Institute , London, UK

There are 10 Course Modules containing Videos with 20 assessments on each Module, the lowest performance shown will be a 70 and the highest will be a 115

competitive work pace = 100

This Certificate Course is applicable to all industry sectors, the modules we are using are automotive samples, however it is the pace of working we are studying and the body and limb movements are generic.

In your opinion, when you see a competitive work pace,  score it at 100.

If you assess an activity, which is, in your opinion, below the competitive work pace then deduct points. Score , for example 95,90,85,80,75,70 and so on, the lower the work pace, the lower the score .

If you assess an activity, which is, in your opinion, above the competitive work pace then add points. Score , for example 105,110,115 and so on, the higher the work pace, the higher the score

You will now look at each Course Module and run each video and assess the performance, mentally comparing it to your opinion of a competitive work pace

Pace Assessment Sheet Download

Complete each Course Module and then take a 30 minute break, do not try to complete too many in one session.

You should select from one of the following performances and enter this to the Pace Performance Assessment sheet which you have already downloaded

70   75   80   85   90

95   100   105   110   115

Here is an example of how to enter your assessments onto the Pace Assessment Sheet

Continue entering your assessments onto your pace assessment sheet until the matrix of ten by twenty is completely full (200)

E mail your pace assessment sheet to Pace control for marking.

The technique Pace control use in this tutorial is socratic. The power of invention and self discovery. You have an opinion of a competitive work pace which we must calibrate. The same way we used in checking your pace perception, but now with a greater sample to give a far more accurate set of results.

Once we have established your perception gap and quantified your assessments, calibrated whether you are tight or loose, we send you a set of results.

These results will indicate by module how you have performed in assessing a competitive work pace.

You may be asked to re-assess certain modules and re-submit them to pace control, this is part of the re-calibration process.

For example if you loose by ten points and are asked to retake a particular module, when assessing the second time, mentally adjust your assessment accordingly.

It is this Perception - Assessment - Realisation cycle which closes the gap to the world class benchmarks.

So now click onto Course Module 1, and begin to assess the 20 videos, entering your assessments onto your pace assessment sheet. Then work through all the Modules until you have entered all 200 assessments.

Then e mail your pace assessment sheet to pace control for marking and mentoring

There is no charge for the Certificate Course, however there is a fee of 30GBP levied for marking your pace assessment sheet and recalibration mentoring. A further fee of 30GBP is levied for each additional re-take marking and mentoring
