Understanding the procedure

This is how the Pace control Certificate Course is coached.

Each one of us has a different 'take up' speed on pace perception and re-calibration. Pace control will analyse your assessments and provide you with an individual profile of how you perceive a competitive work pace.

For some of you, it may only take two or three mentoring sessions to gain sufficient accuracy, others may need more. Each time you email your assessments to Pace control, you will receive a set of results like this:

Concept of ILO 100 99.6
Systematic Error -0.4
Mean Deviation 6.132
% of Correct Ratings 26
% Within +/- 5 Points 67
% +/- 15 Points or more 8.5
% Loose 33.5
% Tight 40.5

There are two levels of Certification:

Concepts - this requires a Systematic Error of less than 3 and is mainly for a general appreciation of a competitive work pace

Practitioner - this requires a Systematic Error of less than 3 and a Mean Deviation of less than 6, and is accepted as the accuracy required to set targets, assess pace performance and provides credibility of skill and technique.

Certification is required to be renewed each year to prevent perception drift and maintain your reputation of accuracy.

In addition to these results you will receive mentoring information on each Course Module.

This may state you are within the limits, alternatively you may be asked to re-assess that Module, because you are very loose, very tight or your deviation was far too wide.

So, for example, you may be accurate on five modules and asked to re-assess the other five.

When you re-assess, you must re-think the pace and remember to adjust your thinking appropriately, using the mentoring information.

It is a self discovery process with Pace control acting as coach and mentor.

Procedure:

  • Complete the Pace Assessment Sheet (200 assessments)
  • Purchase the marking & mentoring fee, at the shop, and remember to put the Pay Pal confirmation number on your sheet, otherwise it will not get marked.
  • e mail the sheet to harvey@pacecontrol.com
  • A perception profile is created and mentoring information supplied on each module will be returned to you.

If you are required to re-assess certain modules, this is the procedure

Only change the re-assessments on your sheet, leave the other assessments unchanged. You must still submit 200 assessments on your sheet.

  • Purchase another marking & mentoring fee and put that number onto your sheet.
  • A re-assessed perception profile will be created, with an adjusted set of results and an adjusted accuracy, will be sent to you

You may repeat this cycle as may times as you wish to gain sufficient accuracy for Certification at your chosen level.

A Pace control Certificate in Visual Performance Management will be sent to you on completion.
